I managed to drop by Jarvis back in November and grabbed the remaining yearbooks from the 1950’s as there was a member of the class who offered to donate some funds to hire a student to help with the scanning. I responded that I’ve managed to get the scanning process down to a 2 hour process and instead of paying a student directly to scan the yearbooks that in the New Year, I’ll set up a scholarship/bursary fund which one of goals will to provide a small scholarship to a couple students who volunteer to work in the archives, of which one task will be to scan yearbooks. So hopefully in the next newsletter I will be able to give you all details about the scholarship fund and how to donate to it.
Here’s the latest and greatest on the website:
What’s to come:
I haven’t had a chance to get back to the video work. Hopefully in the New Year I’ll get back to it. I also hope to finish the yearbooks from the 50’s (there’s 4 more to go) and get the 1980 yearbook online as well.
Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year!
